American Advertising Federation (AAF)

As the "Unifying Voice for Advertising,"
the American Advertising Federation is the
trade association that represents 50,000
professionals in the advertising industry.
AAF's 130 corporate members are advertisers,
agencies and media companies that comprise
the nation's leading brands and corporations.
AAF has a national network of 210 ad clubs
and connects the industry with an academic
base through its 210 college chapters. |
American Alliance of Service Providers (AASP)
Offices: Triangle, Virginia
The American Alliance of Service Providers
is an organization that was set up to join
together ISPs in a unified front. AASP also
has other Internet related companies offering
web design and web hosting as members. They,
as a small ISP watching the events in the
ISP industry, had concerns about the future
of the small to medium sized ISPs. They
decided that to get ISPs better pricing
and other benefits that a group effort would
be needed, and so AASP was born. AASP has
grown to over 800 ISPs. |
American Association of Advertising Agencies
(AAAA)
Offices: New York, New York
AAAA is the national trade association representing
the advertising agency business in the United
States. Its membership produces approximately
75 percent of the total advertising volume
placed by agencies nationwide. Although
virtually all of the large, multi-national
agencies are members of the AAAA, more than
60 percent of their membership bills less
than $10 million per year. |
American Booksellers Association (ABA)
Offices: Tarrytown, New York
Founded in 1900, the American Booksellers
Association is a not-for-profit organization
devoted to meeting the needs of its core
members of independently owned bookstores
with retail storefront locations through
advocacy, education, research, and information
dissemination. The ABA actively supports
free speech, literacy, and programs that
encourage reading. |
American Business Council of Dubai & the
Northern Emirates

The American Business Council of Dubai and
the Northern Emirates is a non-profit, voluntary
association of individuals and companies.
Their objectives are to promote the development
of commerce and investment between the United
States of America and Dubai and the Northern
Emirates, as well as to be a direct liaison
with the Chamber of Commerce of the United
States and other chambers of commerce and
business organizations, and to express the
views of the local American business community
to public and private interests in the United

American Business Media

Founded in 1906, American Business Media
is the association for B2B information providers,
including producers of print publications,
websites, trade shows and other media. American
Business Media has 229 member companies,
representing over 3,000 print and electronic
titles and more than 800 trade shows and
events. They reach an audience of 100 million
professionals and accounted for over $19
billion in industry revenues in 2003. |

The American Chamber of Commerce in France
was founded in 1894 making it the oldest
US business organization abroad. The Chamber
is an independent not-for-profit association
registered both in France and in the United
States. AmCham France is the collective
voice of Franco-American business interests
in France. The Chamber's role is to serve
its members in the international business
community. Chamber members are engaged in
trade, industry and professional services,
from small companies to large multinational

The American Chamber of Commerce in Germany
is a membership organization that represents
the interests of its 3,000 American and
German members. Celebrating its 100th Anniversary
in 2003, AmCham Germany is one of the oldest
and largest bilateral economic organizations
in Europe. AmCham Germany's mission is to
promote unrestricted competition, trade
and investment between Germany and the United

American Chamber of Commerce in Italy

The American Chamber of Commerce in Italy
is affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce
of Washington DC and is a member of the
European Council of American Chambers of
Commerce, the umbrella agency which promotes
free trade between the European Union and
the United States. AmCham represents the
major Chambers of Commerce and trade and
industrial associations in the United States;
it is a founding member of the Union of
Foreign and Italian-Foreign Chambers of
