The Illinois Renewable Energy Association

and information with individuals, businesses,

Illinois Retail Merchants Association (IRMA)

The Illinois Retail Merchants Association
is one of the largest state retail organizations
in the United States. IRMA serves as the
voice of retailing and the business community
in state government. IRMA's government relations
efforts have resulted in both the passage
and defeat of significant bills of major
bottom line impact on retail stores. From
the nation's largest retailers to independent
businesses in every corner of the State,
merchants can count on IRMA to fight for
the best possible environment in which to
do business in Illinois. |
Illinois Technology Executive Exchange (ITEEx)

Information Technology Executive Exchange
(ITEEx) is an executive membership organization
serving the IT Executive leadership. ITEEx’s
focus is building a powerful consortium
of IT leaders, who will leverage each other’s
networks, best practices, and general wisdom
to advance their organizations and most
importantly, their careers. ITEEx accomplishes
this task primarily through the development
of communities of IT Executives called special
interest groups (SIG). |
Illinois Telecommunications Association
(ITA)

The telecommunications industry is booming.
New entrants. New regulations. New laws.
New technology. It's difficult to stay abreast
and still voice your opinions to key individuals
- like legislators, regulators and even
other managers with the industry. The mission
of the Illinois Telecommunications Association
is to create a forum for its members to
identify and to examine issues of importance;
to foster collaboration among its members;
and to present on behalf of the telecommunications
industry a unified position on matters of
importance before the regulatory and legislative
bodies of Illinois. |
Illinois Venture Capital Association (IVCA)
Offices: Chicago, Illinois
Founded in May 2000, the Illinois Venture
Capital Association is a non-profit trade
organization dedicated to creating a community
for professionals engaged in non-public
investing in private companies. Their membership
consists of firms engaged in all stages
of private equity investing from early stage
through buyout stage. IVCA fosters the development
and growth of business enterprise, which
will enhance the vitality of Illinois' venture
capital/private equity community. |
Illinois Wind Energy Association (IWEA)
Offices: Oregon, Illinois
The Illinois Wind Energy Association was
founded in early 2007 to represent the needs
of the growing wind energy industry in Illinois.
Until mid-2009, they operated as "Wind for
Illinois." They changed their name to best-reflect
their core mission and goals as the only
trade association for the wind energy industry
in Illinois. IWEA is not a "chapter" of
the American Wind Energy Association, but
their work complements the efforts of AWEA,
and they work closely together on policy,
public outreach and other issues. |
Independent Film & Television Alliance (IFTA)
Offices: Los Angeles, California
The Independent Film & Television Alliance
was established in 1980 as the American
Film Marketing Association (AFMA). Its first
members were a group of distributors and
sales agents whose main goal was to expand
the independent film business by creating
a world-class trade show, the American Film
Market (AFM). Today, the association has
evolved into the trade association for the
independent film and television industry
worldwide, while the AFM concurrently has
become the largest international film market
in the world. |
