The International Business Council is an
interactive community of concerned and committed
business leaders. The IBC identifies and
addresses globally relevant business issues
and develops practical solutions. It also
acts as an advisory body providing intellectual
stewardship to the World Economic Forum. |
International Council for Small Business
(ICSB)
Offices: Washington, DC
ICSB promotes the development of knowledge
in all areas of business theory and practice
and is particularly focused on strategies
and policies proven to be effective in sustaining
small businesses and entrepreneurship. ICSB's
annual international conference allows members
to share their expertise on the latest business
developments and to receive constructive
feedback from those researching similar
topics. ICSB currently has 11 country-based
or regional affiliates containing members
from over 70 countries. |
Invest In France Agency (IFA)
Offices: Paris, France
In France as in other European countries,
attracting international investment involves
a wide range of partners. For this reason
the Invest In France Agency relies on a
network of local and national, public and
private partners: cooperation between the
various partners is extremely important
for our agency. IFA provides assistance
at every stage of the investment process.
IFA works closely with 22 French regions
to act as your main contact, providing legal
and tax advice, help during the set up process
and after-care service. |
Iowa Business Council (IBC)
Offices: Des Moines, Iowa
The Iowa Business Council means business—hands-on
leadership and active involvement are key
to the success of any business. The Iowa
Business Council expects members to play
an active role in organizational activities
and meetings. The leaders of the businesses
making up the Iowa Business Council gather
at least quarterly to plan, prioritize and
take action to improve the environment for
business in Iowa. In addition to the Council
members themselves, each member designates
an executive to serve as his/her deputy
on a special Deputy Committee that is charged
with uniting the resources of the member
businesses to bring Iowa Business Council
ideas to life. |

Los Angeles Business Council (LABC)

The Los Angeles Business Council is a nonprofit
association of more than 300 businesses,
agencies and individuals working to address
critical issues and concerns that impact
the business climate and economic health
of Los Angeles. As a 70-year-old advocacy
and educational institution representing
the business and professional community,
the LABC serves as an influential link between
the public and private sectors in Los Angeles,
connecting the power of business with the
power of government to improve the state

(LABI)

Industry's mission is to foster a climate

Metrolina Business Council (MBC)

Metrolina Business Council is a business
group which meets twice monthly for breakfast
combined with an excellent program. MBC
is not just a "tips" club but a resource

is on an individual, not company, basis
and is limited to one individual from a

Mid Atlantic Russia Business Council (MARBC)
Offices: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
MARBC has worked to foster business relations
between Russia and the Newly Independent
States (NIS), and the US Mid-Atlantic Region,
while cultivating mutual appreciation of
political, economic, cultural, and educational
interests. The goal of MARBC is to enable
companies based in the US Mid-Atlantic Region
to enhance their positions in Russia and
the NIS and to attract Russian businesses
to the US Mid-Atlantic Region. |
Monterey County Business Council (MCBC)

The MCBC is a partnership that was launched
in order to improve communications efficiency
and accessibility of information for economic
development within this geographically large
county; consolidate and upgrade existing
static, non-database, business-related Web
resources; foster entrepreneurship for job
creation and economic diversification within

of Monterey County as a business and technology-friendly
