agencies, and individuals working to secure
the social, environmental and financial
health of the Sierra Nevada region for this
and future generations. The council views
environmental quality as key to the Sierra
Nevada's economic prosperity, and natural
resource conservation as essential to building
regional wealth. |
Small Business Council of America (SBCA)

The Small Business Council of America is
a national organization whose purpose is
to represent the interests of private and
family owned businesses in federal income
and estate tax, health care, pension and
other benefit concerns. About one-third
of their members are advisors for family
and privately owned businesses—lawyers,
accountants, actuaries, financial planners,
insurance advisors and plan administrators.

(SBE Council)

The Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council
works to influence legislation and policies
that help to create a favorable and productive
environment for small businesses and entrepreneurship.
By educating policymakers, elected officials,
the media and the public about the critical
role that small businesses play in the economy—and
how government actions can positively or
negatively affect the small business community.
SBE Council with its work to protect innovative,
job-creating small businesses, and advance
public policy that improves and maintains
a favorable environment for risk-taking,
investment and entrepreneurship. |
Southwest Michigan First

committed people. Kalamazoo has a long,
rich history of entrepreneurial innovation
of launching and supporting highly successful
companies. Since 1999, Southwest Michigan
First had been the community's driving force
in carrying on that tradition. The Kalamazoo
Region's premiere business catalyst and
networking organization, Southwest Michigan
First is a privately funded economic development

Swiss American Business Council (SABC)

The Swiss-American Business Council is a
leading business organization dedicated
to assisting companies, trade groups, entrepreneurs
and professionals to expand opportunities
in regional, national and transatlantic
commerce. Members of the SABC include multinational
companies, SMEs and startups, all of whom
share a keen interest in the prosperous
Swiss-American business community. Switzerland-US
trade represents a significant portion of
transatlantic commerce. Switzerland is the
sixth largest foreign investor in the United
States, with over 700 Swiss companies providing
employment for more than half a million

Tampa Bay International Business Council
(TBIBC)

The Tampa Bay International Business Council,
is a non-profit organization set forth to
help cultivate International Business relationships
for the Tampa Bay area. TBIBC is responsible
for the International Town Hall held at
the Jaeb Theater, which discusses strategic
initiatives of local organizations that
have a direct impact on the local import/export
community. |
The Business Council

The Business Council is a voluntary association
of business leaders whose members meet several
times a year for the free exchange of ideas
both among themselves and with representatives
of governments. The Council membership is
a group of current or former chief executive
officers from a broad range of companies.

Tri Valley Business Council
Offices: Livermore, California
The Tri-Valley Business Council's mission
is to represent the private sector in regional
issues that impact economic vitality or
the quality of life within the Tri-Valley.
They work as facilitator with government
and community to resolve issues. Their policy
committees do research, track public policy,
participate in public hearings, and act
as a facilitator with governmental and community
representatives to resolve issues. |
