Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA)

The Semiconductor Industry Association is
the premier trade association representing
the US semiconductor industry. Founded in
1977 by five microelectronics innovators,
SIA unites 95 companies responsible for
more than 85 percent of semiconductor production
in this country. Their coalition provides
domestic semiconductor companies a forum
to advance the global competitiveness of
the $80 billion US chip industry. Through

Storage Networking Industry Association
(SNIA)

SNIA was incorporated in December 1997 and
is a registered 501-C6 non-profit trade
association. Their members are dedicated
to "ensuring that storage networks become
complete and trusted solutions across the
IT community". SNIA works towards this goal
by forming and sponsoring technical work
groups, by producing the Storage Networking
World Conference series, by building and
maintaining a vendor neutral Technology
Center and by promoting activities that
expand the breadth and quality of the storage
networking market. |
