HomePlug Powerline Alliance

The HomePlug Powerline Alliance is an industry-led
initiative established to create specifications
for powerline networking products and services
and to accelerate the demand for these products
and services through the sponsorship of
market and user education programs. Currently,
the Alliance is comprised of about 50 industry-leading
companies. HomePlug Sponsor companies include
Arkados, Cogency Semiconductor, Comcast,
Conexant, DS2, Earthlink, Intellon, Panasonic,

Interactive Multimedia Collaborative Communications
Alliance (IMCCA)

The Interactive Multimedia & Collaborative
Communications Alliance (IMCCA) is an organization
of members who share a common interest in
fostering and promoting people to people
communications and learning throughout their
industry. Alliance members are end users,
vendors, and other interested professionals
involved in interactive multimedia and collaborative
communications technologies and their applications.
The IMCCA actively supports and seeks to
bring about unification of several disparate
professional organizations in its industry. |
Interactive Television Alliance (ITA)
Offices: Santa Monica, California
ITA, over the past two months, has been
working in the background on two very important
initiatives: the Interactive Advertising
Guidelines (IAG) project and the Interactive
Interface Guidelines (IIG) project. The
IAG is developing uniform guidelines for
new ad formats and consumer data across
multiple platforms (cable, satellite, broadband,
VOD, DVR, IPG, eTV). The project is produced
by the ITA in partnership with ANA, 4As,
CAB, and IAB and is being facilitated by
the DiMA Group. |
International Game Developers Association
(IGDA)
Offices: San Francisco
IGDA is an independent, non-profit association
established by game developers to foster
the creation of a worldwide game development
community. The IGDA’s mission is to
build a community of game developers which
leverages the expertise of their members
for the betterment of the industry and the
development of the art form. The IGDA
concentrates effort on four main types of
endeavors: covering issues of public debate
or general concern to the community; reaching
out to those outside the industry who influence
and affect their work; conducting meaningful
research; and, promoting games as an art
form. |

Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF)

MEF is a global trade association representing
all participants in the mobile entertainment
value chain interested in driving the industry's
evolution and commercial potential through
collaboration, consultation and promotional
activities. MEF is committed to reducing
the barriers to entry into the innovative
mobile entertainment market, thereby encouraging
entry by new businesses and increasing competition
and growth to the benefit of all industry

Multimedia over Coax Association (MoCA)
Offices: Walnut Creek, California
The Multimedia over Coax Alliance has been
formed as a non-profit mutual benefit corporation
to develop and promote specifications for
the transport of digital entertainment and
information content over in-home coaxial
cable. The goal of MoCA is to create specifications
and certify products that will tap into
the vast amounts of unused bandwidth available
on the in-home coax without the need for
new connections, wiring, point of entry
devices or truck rolls. |

National Association of Electrical Distributors
(NEAD)

Since 1908, the National Association of
Electrical Distributors has served as the
trade association for the electrical distribution
industry. NAED is a not-for-profit organization
dedicated to serving and protecting the
electrical distribution channel. As part
of that mission, NAED provides networking
opportunities. The enhanced knowledge and
expertise gained by NAED members translates
into better service for their customers. |
