(TIGA)

TIGA’s overarching objective is to keep
developers in the UK and Europe at the heart
of the global Games industry. The independent
development sector represents roughly half
the number of people in development activity
in the UK, and a higher proportion in Europe.
Independents are unique cross fertilizers
of development practice because they can
develop for any publisher; the other half
working in development -some 3,000+ people
are publisher owned studios who can only
work for that publisher. |
Toy Industry Association (TIA)
Offices: New York, New York
Toy Industry Association, founded in 1916,
is the national trade association for US
producers and importers of toys, games and
children's entertainment products. Its 300+
members account for 85 percent of industry
sales; associate members include toy testing
laboratories, design firms and professional
inventors. Government, the trade, the media
and consumers, recognizes TIA as the authoritative
voice of the US toy industry. |
TRUSTe
Offices: San Francisco, California
TRUSTe is an independent, nonprofit organization
dedicated to enabling individuals and organizations
to establish trusting relationships based
on respect for personal identity and information
in the evolving networked world. Founded
in 1997, TRUSTe runs an award-winning global
privacy certification and seal program.
Its seal programs are considered Safe Harbors
for the Children's Online Privacy Protection
Act (COPPA) and the EU Safe Harbor Framework.
Today, TRUSTe maintains the largest privacy
seal program with more than 1,400 web sites
certified throughout the world including
AOL, Microsoft, IBM, Nationwide and The
New York Times. |

UPnP Forum (UPnP)

The UPnP Forum is a group of companies and
individuals across multiple industries that
play a leading role in the authoring of
specifications for UPnP devices and services.
Formed in June 1999, the Forum is an unincorporated
entity of more than 700 consumer electronics,
computing, home automation, home security,
appliances, printing, photography, computer
networking, mobile products and other leading
companies working together to design schema
and protocol standards for the UPnP initiative. |
