The US-China Business Council is a membership association for US corporations
engaged in business relations with the People's Republic of China. With
the massive growth of US-China economic engagement since the late 1970s,

needs of US firms with well-established commercial relationships in China.

The primary role of the US-Pakistan Business Council is to foster a greater

US foreign direct investment in Pakistan. The Council brings together Pakistani

on key economic, commercial and other relevant issues of interest to American
companies doing or planning to do business in Pakistan. |

The US-Taiwan Business Council serves as a portal to Taiwan, as our network
of relationships gives our members access to people and information to help
them succeed in their Taiwan endeavors. Serving as an effective representative
in dealing with business, trade, and investment matters, the Council comprises
a large network of companies involved in business between Taiwan and the
United States. The Council was heavily involved in all aspects of the drafting
and passing of the Taiwan Relations Act. |

The US-Thailand Business Council in Washington, DC, together with its counterpart,
the Thailand-US Business Council (TUSBC), located in Bangkok, was inaugurated
in October of 1994 as a non-profit and non-partisan organization. The creation
of the two Councils is the first bilateral business-to-business dedicated
to strengthening the US and Thailand bilateral relations through commercial
and economic ties by emphasizing the responsible role of the private sector.
They work To promote face-to-face interaction between American and Thai
business executives in order to advance the expansion of trade and investment
cooperation between the two countries. |

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council is the nation's leading
advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America's corporations.
WBENC works to foster diversity in the world of commerce with programs and

marketplace for women business owners. WBENC works with representatives
of corporations to encourage the utilization and expansion of supplier/vendor

Wyoming Business Council

The creation of the Wyoming Business Council in 1998 dramatically changed
Wyoming's approach to economic development. This new organization has more
of a corporate structure, incorporating private business practices in order
to drive programs and instituting regional offices throughout the state.
The Wyoming Business Council focuses public and private efforts to build
a strong job creation base in the new economy with manufacturing and technology
as core competencies while strengthening the existing business and industry
groups under energy, agriculture, tourism and travel. |
