The establishment of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce was the result of dedication
and hard work of dozens of people. Tracing the history of this organization
takes them back to 1978. The Irvine City Council was considering an ordinance
that would have regulated access to local shopping centers by petitioners
and private organizations raising funds. As the chamber celebrates its 26th
Anniversary, current membership stands at 1,000. The chamber's continued
success has played an important part in creating an attractive environment
for major companies who now make Irvine their home.

The Italy-America Chamber of Commerce is a private, not-for-profit, membership
organization that represents the interests of companies that have, or that
are interested in establishing business and commercial relations between
the United States and Italy. The IACC brings together businesses—ranging
from individual entrepreneurs to large corporations—advancing the interests
of its members through contacts and interaction with government agencies,
trade associations and leading international organizations.
