The Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to promoting the interests
of the business community. With nearly 700 businesses the Chamber also is
concerned with the ongoing viability and vitality of the island's historical,
cultural, civic, environmental and recreational features of Nantucket. Originally
a booming whaling port, Nantucket has been named a National Historic District
and has architecturally changed little since the 17th century, as seaside
cottages and old-fashioned lamps still line its streets. |
