Pittsburgh Technology Council

Since 1983, the Pittsburgh Technology Council
has been the principal point of connection
for companies from four primary clusters
of the technology industry that are represented
by a critical mass of businesses in southwestern
Pennsylvania including Information Technology,
Biomedical, Advanced Manufacturing/Materials
and Environmental Technology. Council membership
currently includes nearly 1,400 companies
in the 13-county southwestern Pennsylvania
region. |

San Diego Software Industry Council (SDSIC)

Formed in 1994, the San Diego Software Industry
Council is building a future for the region’s
high tech industry. Their members enjoy

exists to foster and support the entrepreneurial

in San Diego, by providing an organized
forum for the exchange of ideas, sharing
of resources, and promotion of industry

Southern Growth Policy Board

Carolina
Southern Growth Policies Board is a non-partisan
public policy think tank. Formed by the
region's governors in 1971, Southern Growth
Policies Board develops and advances visionary
economic development policies by providing
a forum for partnership and dialog among
a diverse cross-section of the region's
governors, legislators, business and academic
leaders and the economic- and community-development
sectors. |

Technology Council of Maryland
Offices: Rockville, Maryland
The Technology Council of Maryland is a
not-for-profit membership organization that
represents the interests of technology companies
and brings together with other allied private
sector businesses, the Educational Institutions
and Federal Research Agencies, making up
Maryland's technology community. The Technology
Council of Maryland is organized to serve
the State's technology community through
two major Industry Networks, the Maryland
BioScience Alliance (also known as the BioAlliance)
and the Maryland IT and Advanced Technology
Network. |
Technology Council of Northwest Pennsylvania
Offices: Erie, Pennsylvania
The Technology Council of Northwest Pennsylvania
primarily focuses on technology centers
throughout the region. The organization
fosters and supports selective programming,
expansion and development in other areas
based on demand, buy-in and available resources.
The Technology Council of Northwest Pennsylvania
is a resource to stimulate the development
and growth of technology in the region by
providing support to organizations and businesses,
creating a brain gain, as well as by facilitating
regional education and linkages. |
Technology Council of Southern California
Offices: Torrance, California
The Technology Council of Southern California
is the premier forum for the region's technology
leaders, providing events, connections,
information and resources to help technology
companies succeed. Founded in 1991 as the
Software Council of Southern California,
the Technology Council has a 15 year history
of supporting technology companies across
throughout the region. They develop targeted,
content-driven programs that encourage interactive
discussions between presenters and attendees
that are regarded as among the most influential
in the region. |
The Technology Collaborative (TTC)
Offices: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
The Technology Collaborative is a newly
formed economic development organization
that is the direct result of merging the
Pittsburgh Digital Greenhouse and the Robotics
Foundry. Their mission is to help increase
Pennsylvania's technology-based economy
by developing collaborating industry clusters
that leverage the region's world-class assets
in Advanced Electronics, Cyber Security,
and Robotics. They enable regional economic
growth by utilizing this "business friendly"
environment to attract new companies to
the region, help local companies grow, and
foster start-ups. |

Virginia Technology Alliance (VTA)
Offices: Midlothian, Virginia
Ten regional technology councils formed
the Virginia Technology Alliance in 1998.
The VTA mission is straight forward: champion
the success of Virginia's technology sector.
The VTA seeks to coordinate and enhance
the efforts of the regional technology councils
and to advocate for issues important to
the growth and development of innovative
technologies and technology-based organizations. |

Wisconsin Technology Council (WTC)
Offices: Madison, Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Technology Council is the
leading catalyst for the creation, development
and retention of science- and technology-based
businesses in Wisconsin. Working in partnership
with the following organizations, the Council
works to ensure that Wisconsin makes the
most of its people, resources and opportunities—and
meets the challenges posed by the rise of
the Knowledge Economy. |
