Communications Resources (PAICR)

San Diego Venture Group (SDVG)

SDVG is a non-profit business organization
whose mission is to provide an informal
atmosphere that fosters ideas on how to

With an estimated 425 members and an average
monthly meeting attendance of 375 people,
the SDVG is helping San Diego become a significant

Tech Coast Venture Network (TCVN)

TCVN is dedicated to assisting, educating
and connecting early stage growth companies
with information and advisors for the purpose
of raising money. Through its major program,
the Venture Forum, TCVN has had over 150
programs on topics to assist and educate
the entrepreneurs attending these programs. |
Texas Coalition for Capital (TxCAP)
Offices: Austin, Texas
The Texas Coalition for Capital is a broad-based
coalition of leaders supporting economic
development and job creation through long-term
access to capital for Texas entrepreneurs
and small businesses. TxCAP works closely
with a broad range of existing business,
economic development, civic, citizen, and
academic organizations and state leaders
to promote a variety that stimulates growth
in the Texas economy and job creation. |
The Enterprise Network (TEN)
Offices: San Jose, California
The Enterprise Network is both a business
incubator and venture development center.
Support of the high-tech entrepreneur is
their primary focus. As they help entrepreneurs
build successful start-up companies, they
stimulate innovation and promote economic
growth. Since being spun out from Joint
Venture Silicon Valley in 1993, TEN has
helped launch over 60 successful startups.
Building upon their experience with NASA,
they work to develop opportunities for entrepreneurs
to leverage university, government and corporate
R&D through IP licensing. |
Toronto Venture Group
Offices: Markham, Ontario
Since 1990 the Toronto Venture Group has
been bridging the gap between entrepreneurs
and capital through communication, education
and networking. TVG bridges the gap between
entrepreneurs and capital through education,
communication and networking events. They
provide investment ready-entrepreneurs with
presentation opportunities to qualified
investors. In order to better serve the
specific requirements of the private investor
community, TVG also developed the Toronto
Angel Group (TAG) initiative. |

Vancouver Enterprise Forum (VEF)

In essence, the VEF's members are its stakeholders.
A typical member is a technology entrepreneur
or anyone interested in supporting the advancement
of the technology industry in some way.
The Vancouver Enterprise Forum holds monthly
events at Science World on the fourth Tuesday
of every month. Events vary in presentation
format but are designed to cover topics
of interest to the technology community.
As an example, the annual "Venture Financing"
forum covers fund-raising for technology
firms and is nearly always sold-out due
to its popularity. |
VC Task Force
Offices: Mountain View, California
VC Task Force was established to provide
a system of services including: business,
legal and financial programs that provide
real-time, strategic and tactical information
addressing imminent concerns of venture
capitalists and portfolio companies. VC
Task Force™ provides a forum for venture
capital firms, institutional investors and
portfolio company management in which they
can share ideas and information that will
help them manage their businesses for maximum

Wayne Brown Institute (WBI)
Offices: Salt Lake City, Utah
Formed in 1983, the Wayne Brown Institute
(WBI) runs the oldest and most successful
non-profit venture accelerator program in
the country. Most importantly, WBI's accelerator
program helps technical entrepreneurs, from
every social economic level, raise money
for their businesses. WBI's network of experienced
and knowledgeable mentors has assisted over
580 promising high-tech companies. These
alumni companies have raised a combined
$1.7 billion in private equity since participating
in an Institute accelerator program. |
Western Association of Venture Capitalists
(WAVC)
Offices: Menlo Park, California
The Western Association of Venture Capitalists
(WAVC) is a non-profit association whose
approximately 140 member firms represent
virtually all professionally managed venture
capital in the Western United States. The
majority of firms focus on the hi-tech and
biotech industries. |
Women's Association of Venture & Equity
(WAVE)
Offices: Fairfield, Connecticut
The Women's Association of Venture and Equity
(WAVE) is a nonprofit organization, which
was founded in 2003 and is committed to
the development and advancement of women
in private equity and venture capital. WAVE
achieves this objective through a series
of developmental and networking events organized
in financial centers each year. Your participation
will provide WAVE with the robust framework
of professional support that would allow
the organization to continue to fulfill

Young Venture Capital Society (YVCS)

The Young Venture Capital Society, is a
not-for-profit educational organization,
created for young professionals under the
age of 35. Specifically their goal is to
help educate and equip the next generation
of venture capitalists with technical knowledge,
financial astuteness, industry perspective,
network of contacts, and knowledge of the
venture capital industry as a whole. Prospective
members should be aspiring or interested
venture capitalists with undergraduate degrees
and if possible, financial, entrepreneurial,
or technical backgrounds. |
