The first product offered was the MD-2 motor control system which was a
subsystem of a robot arm that was being developed. In the mid-90's, Roger
decided that there was a small market for mobile robots and the first Trilobot
was designed. These were mainly sold to Universities for research projects.
In the late 90's Roger developed ARobot which is a lower-cost robot intended
for hobbyists and educators. Arrick Robotics remains a small company based
in Texas where all products are designed and built. |

Honda began its humanoid robotics program in 1986. Honda’s—and the world’s—first
self-regulating, bipedal (two-legged) humanoid robot, named P2, debuted
in December 1996. P3, the first completely independent, bipedal humanoid
walking robot, was completed in September 1997. P3 was 5’2” tall and weighed
286 pounds. The development of ASIMO began around the summer of 1999. ASIMO
was completed October 31, 2000 and is the most advanced humanoid robot ever
