Founded by Oliver Masclef, 10 years experience in the video game industry—worked at Infogrames, and Pierre Deltour,he has a PhD in Physics at ENS Lyon. He worked on 'Outcast' via the polygonal engine and post treatment system.

WXP develops video game and entertainment software for next-generation game consoles, 3D accelerated PCs and motion simulator attractions. The company is a registered developer for Xbox and Playstation 2 game consoles. In September 2002, WXP shipped The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring for Xbox. The title was published by Black Label Games, a subsidiary of the games division of Vivendi Universal Publishing.
