FOX6 WBRC-TV is the FOX affiliate for the
Birmingham television market. Prior to becoming
a FOX O&O, WBRC-TV was one of the top ABC
affiliates in the country. The big switch
to FOX occurred on September 1, 1996. FOX6
WBRC has long held the reputation as the
news leader. They are proud of being home
to state's largest news operation producing
45 hours of local news each week. With the
largest weather team in the area, the FOX6

Fox 6 Milwaukee (WITI)
Offices: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
WITI began broadcasting on May 21, 1956.
Their commitment to news was evident from

remarkable images seen over the last half-century
on channel 6. Weather has been, and always
will be, a staple of Fox6 news. They are

Fox 7 (KTBC)
Offices: Austin, Texas
KTBC has been serving Central Texas longer
than any station, since Thanksgiving Day
1952. The station was owned at the time
by Texas Broadcasting Company. KTBC was
the only TV station in Central Texas for
seven years, and had the unique opportunity
to choose the best programs from all three
networks. Eventually, KTBC became a CBS
affiliate until 1995, when KTBC joined the
growing and innovative FOX network. KTBC's
commitment to covering news is evident in
more than 24 hours of "FOX 7 News" shows

Fox 8 (WGHP)
Offices: High Point, North Carolina
WGHP signed on the air in October 1963 as
an ABC Station. In 1990, WGHP launched its
first 5 p.m. newscast. WGHP became the first
station to cover news regionally across
the 14 counties that compromise the High
Point/Greensboro/Winston-Salem television
market. On September 3, 1995, WGHP switched
affiliations with WXLV, formerly WRNW, and
became FOX8 WGHP. Fox 8 WGHP produces seven
hours of local news each weekday, more than
any broadcast station in the market or anywhere
in North Carolina. |
Fox 8 (WWCP)
Offices: Johnstown-Altoona-State College,
Pennsylvania
WWCP-TV signed on October 13, 1986. Originally
WWCP was an independent broadcast facilities,
within 10 months of going on the air WWCP
became the Fox affiliate for the region.
WWCP Fox 8 is owned by Peak Media of Pennsylvania.
Fox 8 is a full-time affiliate of the Fox
Television Network offering the complete
Fox network program schedule, local news,
and popular syndicated programming. |
Fox 8 (WVUE)
Offices: New Orleans, Louisiana
FOX 8 WVUE, which is owned by Emmis Communications,
is one of four network television stations
in the New Orleans market that broadcasts
local news. It is the only station that
broadcasts a live 9pm news program in this
market. FOX 8 also carries FOX kids programming
from 7am-2pm on Saturdays. |
Fox 9 (KMSP)
Offices: Eden Prairie, Minnesota
FOX9 is a Fox owned and operated station
which broadcasts from Eden Prairie. Formally
known as UPN 9 (1995-2002) that is when
they switched networks with there sister
station May 29. They have three newscast
weekdays and are currently number 3 in the
Minneapolis market. Their reporters are
energetic, spontaneous and possess overall
good live reporting skills. |
