KARE 11
Offices: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Channel 11 takes itself directly to the
people in live broadcasts from events such
as the Aquatennial and the State Fair. KARE-TV
spent over a decade building a strong national
reputation in news. The station had extensive
coverage of the tornado of 1986 and over
the next 17 years, KARE-11 created a lot
of enduring images, as it became known for
award-winning storytellers and photojournalists.
Sports has also evolved into a primetime
player in the Twin Cities with extensive
daily coverage, and specials such as Prep

Nexstar Broadcasting Group purchased KARK,
an NBC affiliate, from Morris Multimedia
on August 1, 2003. In 2004 the station captured
several regional and national Edward R.

DMA in the United States, with a population
of approximately 1, 334,000 and 531,470
television households. Cable penetration
in the market is estimated to be 56%.

KASA FOX 2
Offices: Albuquerque, New Mexico
KGSW-TV Channel 14 signed on the air on
May 8, 1981. KGSW-TV Channel 14 converted
to KASA-TV on April 5, 1993. KASA FOX 2
is an affiliate of the Fox Broadcasting
Company allowing them to offer exciting
first-run Fox network television programs.
Besides quality Fox programming, KASA FOX
2 offers a wide variety of top quality situation
comedies, action adventure shows, dramas,

KATU

KATU is the local
news and information site, designed to give
the viewer the latest local news, traffic,
weather, and more 24 hours a day. KAtU gets
its information from the KATU news room,
and other sources such as ABC News and the
Associated Press. KATU has partnered with
many providers to give the viewer and the
community the information they need to live
in the Northwest. They are currently an

KATV is the ABC affiliate for the Little
Rock market and is owned and operated by
Albritton Communications. The Little Rock
DMA is conveniently located in the center
of Arkansas. There is a projected 25% increase
in retail sales over the next five years,
and a 27% increase in EBI. This makes the
Little Rock DMA very strong, which in turn
shows the strength of KATV one of the DMA's
top stations. |
