KTUL first came on the air on September
18, 1954. KTUL is an ABC affiliate serving
the Tulsa market, and are currently owned
and operated by Albritton Communications.
Their news reporters will research, cover,
write, and package news, series and related
fields. Their reporters are experienced
and possess strong journalistic, artistic
and analytical abilities and are able to
perform well in live on air reports. |

NEWSChannel 8 is the NBC affiliate for the
Tampa market. Together TBO.com, WFLA-TV
and The Tampa Tribune form one of the world's

NewsChannel 8 (WQAD)

From day one of its first broadcast in 1963,
WQAD broadcast ABC network programming in
color. On their debut WQAD-TV had the most
up-to-date television facility, with the
tallest tower and most power, in the Quad
City area. In May 2005, NewsChannel 8 became
the first Quad City station to use portable
satellite technology with the addition of
a new satellite truck. |
NewsChannel 8 (WTNH)
Offices: New Haven, Connecticut
WTNH went on the air June 15, 1948 as WNHC-TV
Channel 6. It was the first television station
in all of Southern New England. WNHC was
the first TV service for Hartford, Springfield,
the Hamptons and Eastern Long Island. WNHC-TV
moved to Channel 8 on January 1, 1954. The
call letters became WTNH in 1971. In 1949
WNHC had its first local news program with
Camera Headlines and aired the first TV
network News Caravan with John Cameron Swayze
weekday evenings for 15 minutes. |

transmitter building on Signal Mountain
in 1958. NewsChannel 9 has a strong commitment

a community leader since the early 1970s.
In 2005 they produced more than 6,200 public
service announcements for 40 different groups,
helping them to raise over $500,000. They
are currently and affiliate of ABC. |

WJHL-TV aired its first television broadcast
on October 26, 1953. As the years progressed,
WJHL-TV's association with CBS helped make

company situated primarily in the Southeast
with interests in newspapers, television
stations, interactive media and diversified

WNYT TV originally signed onto the Capital
District airways in 1954 as WTRI TV. In
1979 WTRI Television was purchased by Viacom
International. In 1981 it changed its call
letters to WNYT and became an affiliate
of the National Broadcasting Corporation
(NBC). After its first year as an NBC affiliate,
WNYT emerged with more attractive audience
deliveries in virtually every area on the
station, both local and network. |

they serve is the 54th largest television
market out of 210 in the United States with
