Ohio TechAngel Fund (OTAF)
Offices: Columbus, Ohio
The Ohio TechAngel Fund provides investment
capital for commercialization of innovations
in life sciences, information technology
and physical sciences. The Fund’s goal is
to support Ohio-based technology investment
opportunities by facilitating risk sharing
on early opportunities with high upside
potential. The OTAF and its Members and
syndication partners have transacted investment
rounds ranging from $150,000 to over $1M.

Orange County Capital
Offices: Goshen, New York
The Orange County Angel Network was founded
in March of 2005 as a d/b/a of the Orange
County Capital Development Corp. to provide
early-stage capital in the range of $100K-$1M,
an investment range not generally served
by institutional venture capital funds.
Their mission is to provide opportunities
for their members to obtain outstanding
financial returns by investing in early-stage
companies located in, or willing to relocate
to Orange County, New York. |
Oregon Angel Fund (OAF)
Offices: Portland, Oregon
The Oregon Angel Fund is a highly structured,
professionally managed, investor-driven
angel fund comprised of some of Oregon's
most successful and influential business
leaders. OAF operates independently of,
but in close collaboration with OEN. OEN
does not have a financial interest in OAF.
Several organizations donate time and resource
to operate the fund, including OEN, Capybara
Ventures, Ater Wynne, Geffen Mesher, and
local MBA programs. |
Origin Investment Group
Offices: La Crosse, Wisconsin
Origin Investment Group was established
in 2001 with the support of the University
of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Small Business
Development Center (SBDC). The purpose of
the group is to invest in high-potential
businesses that seek equity funding for
growth and expansion. The SBDC coordinates
monthly meetings on the UW-La Crosse campus
to review proposals and discuss investment
actions. The SBDC serves as a contact point
for both prospective investor-members and
also entrepreneurs seeking equity funding. |
Ottawa Angel Alliance (OAA)
Offices: Ottawa, Ontario
The Ottawa Angel Alliance is a member-led
angel group dedicated to improving the investing
experience of both the investor and the
entrepreneur. The OAA is an alliance of
individual angel investors and venture capital
firms. Members are committed to investing
in early stage companies in the Ottawa area.
They evaluate business plans based on management
team, market opportunity, growth potential,
as well as other factors. |

Pasadena Angels
Offices: Pasadena, California
Pasadena Angels offers early-stage companies
the opportunity to benefit from the knowledge
of more than 100 experienced entrepreneurs,
senior corporate executives, and skilled
professionals from a variety of industries
and venture capital affiliates. The organization's
members provide up to $1 million in early-stage
financing and seed money to emerging technology-based
ventures located in Southern California.
The group cooperates with other venture
capital firms and angel investment groups
to support companies that are raising between
$1 to $5 million. |
Pheonomenelle Angels Fund
Offices: Madison, Wisconsin
Phenomenelle Angels Fund is a new, early
stage fund that invests in women and minority
owned or managed businesses in Wisconsin
and the Midwest. Investors are limited to
women who are accredited investors, and
select entities. They invest in exceptional
management teams that exploit proprietary
technology to create breakthrough applications
in the following market sectors: information
technology, life sciences, communications
and consumer goods and services. |
Piedmont Angel Network (PAN)
Offices: Greensboro, North Carolina
The Piedmont Angel Network likes to invest
in businesses that are addressing large,
painful problems. These businesses do not
have to be technology based as long as the
problems are sizeable and the markets large.
Large markets often mean businesses with
a national or international scope with at
least $50 to $100 million in annual revenues.
The first investment can be up to $250,000
with possible add-ons from individual PAN
members or other investors. |
Pocono Mountain Angel Network
Offices: East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania
The Pocono Mountains Angel Network is an
Accredited Investor's membership organization
designed to provide its members with investment
opportunities including but not limited
to investments in the areas of homeland
security, advanced manufacturing, healthcare,
information technology, life sciences/biotechnology,
and financial services. |
Portland Angel Network (PAN)
Offices: Portland, Oregon
The Portland Angel Network (PAN) is an organization
of accredited angel investors that meet
to hear presentations from promising companies
seeking angel funding. The organization
meets bimonthly, and each event features
2-4 selected companies. PAN will look at
opportunities with good growth and profit
potential, with a clear exit strategy. Early
stage deals are preferred. Companies should
be seeking capital within the range of $500,000
to $2,000,000. |

Prairie Angels
Offices: Chicago, Illinois
The Prairie Angels is an action oriented
private group of accredited investors committed
to investing in early stage companies. Their
goal is to match funding for seed stage
(angel round) investors with start up entrepreneurs
and their businesses in the Midwest. While
their focus is early seed stage ventures
with a potential for rapid growth, later
stage investments are not excluded. Businesses
from all verticals, including non-high technical
areas, are welcome by the group. |
Private Capital Network (PCN)
Offices: Huntington Beach, California
Private Capital Network is Southern California’s
fastest growing angel investor association.
PCN is comprised of past and current business
leaders from Orange County who are SEC Accredited
Investors. They invest in early stage companies
with a proven product, existing customers,
and need capital to fund expansion. Their
objective is to help talented entrepreneurs
build lasting businesses of significant
value and to participate as active investors. |
Private Investors Forum (PIF)
Offices: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
The Private Investors Forum is a non-profit
organization of accredited private investors
dedicated to providing education and stimulating
investment in the Greater Philadelphia Region,
including New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.
PIF accomplishes this mission by hosting
the Annual Angel Venture Fair, quarterly
educational meetings for accredited private
investors and the establishment of the PIF
Due Diligence Fund. |
Puget Sound Venture Club
Offices: Seattle, Washington
The club was started in 1985. The only purpose
is to provide a forum to review venture
opportunities. Members represent themselves
or their organization, there is no pooling
of funds. Present and past members have
invested in over 500 companies. Their main
focus is seed, early-stage companies. They
are looking for companies that have the
potential for 10X returns in five years. |
Purple Angels
Offices: Ottawa, Ontario
Formed in early 2001, Purple Angel is a
group of mostly former Nortel Networks executives.
It's mission is to invest, mentor, and guide
start-up companies in the Ottawa area. Given
the technology and business breadth of the
group, the focus is to communications and
infrastructure investment. The Purple Angeles
create wealth for their portfolio companies,
their partners, and themselves, and have
fun in the process. |
