The mission of the Office of Technology
Transfer is to facilitate the commercialization
of Indiana University's scientific and technical
research for the benefit of the state of
Indiana and the general public through evaluation,
management, protection, and licensing of
the University's intellectual property.
Since its inception in January 1997, the
IU Research & Technology Corp. has reported
a total of 331 inventions. |
IP2IPO Group
Offices: London, England
IP2IPO Group is an intellectual property
business. Its objective is to establish
long-term partnerships with universities
and similar institutions so as to become
a stakeholder in their intellectual property
and to enhance the way in which the intellectual
property is commercialized. IP2IPO has partnerships
with the University of Oxford, the University
of Southampton, King's College London and,
conditional upon admission to AIM, the University
of York. Under IP2IPO's partnership with
the University of Oxford's Chemistry Department,
under which IP2IPO is entitled to 50% of
the University's equity in companies spinning
out of the chemistry department until 2015. |
Israel Venture Capital Research Center (IVC)

Israel Venture Capital Research Center is
Israel's leading research center specializing
in analyzing and monitoring Israel's high-tech
industry. IVC's publications provide insights
on venture capital, private equity and high-tech
companies. They are used by business leaders,
major financial entities and government
organizations in the United States, Europe,
Asia and Israel. These include venture capital
and private equity funds, investment companies,
entrepreneurs, academic institutions, and
government entities such as the office of
the Prime Minister of Israel and the Bank
of Israel. |

Lester Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation

Lester Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation
was founded in 1991 through a gift from
W. Howard Lester, Chairman of Williams-Sonoma
and is the primary locus for the study and
promotion of entrepreneurship and innovation
in management and new enterprise development
at UC Berkeley. The center's constituency
beyond the university consists of the founders,
owners, and managers of innovative and high-growth
companies, their investors and advisers,
and young entrepreneurs. |

MIT Entrepreneurship Center provides content,
context, and contacts that enable entrepreneurs
to design and launch successful new ventures
based on innovative technologies. They help
MIT students, alumni, and colleagues access
an array of educational programs, networking
opportunities, technologies, and resources,
both at MIT and around the world. Members
of the MIT E-Center community form a global
network to actively advise and assist each
other for mutual benefit, enabling them

MIT Stanford Venture Lab (VLAB)

MIT-Stanford Venture Lab is the San Francisco
Bay Area chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum,
a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting
the growth and success of high-tech entrepreneurial
ventures by connecting ideas, technology
and people. They provide a forum for
entrepreneurs, industry experts, venture
capitalists, private investors and technologists
to exchange insights about how to effectively
grow high-tech ventures amidst increasing
market risks and challenges. In a

The Ohio University Innovation Center provides
business services, resources and flexible
facilities, fostering entrepreneurship resulting

region. The Innovation Center began operations
celebrated its twentieth anniversary August
2003. Over the twenty year history
50 companies have been assisted through
this business incubation program. |

Pennsylvania State University Research Commercialization
Office

The Research Commercialization Office assists
Penn State faculty and staff with the creation
of new companies based on University research
and technologies. It provides a University
interface with multiple sources of early
stage capital, identifies mentors and potential
management team members, and coordinates
with the Intellectual Property Office and
the Industrial Research Office to identify
and focus available expertise and resources. |

The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
brings the Santa Clara mission to the study
of emerging and disruptive technologies
and the commercialization process. It fosters
research, conducts thought leadership forums
and creates interdisciplinary networks to
study and teach the art and science of innovation

of the most fertile proving ground for new
technologies—Silicon Valley—the Center for

Stanford Technology Venture Program is the
entrepreneurship education center located
within Stanford University's School of Engineering.
The STVP mission is to build a world-class
program dedicated to accelerating high-technology
entrepreneurship research and education
for engineers and scientists worldwide.
Created in 1925, the School of Engineering
has eight departments, several interdisciplinary
research and teaching centers, and many
laboratories and cross-disciplinary programs. |
